This page
helps you keep on track with your ICT Project. It will enable
you to get a 'picture' of what is involved, follow through the
activities, and complete the project ready for payment.
There are a few things that you should be aware of
before you get started with the project. The project requires 'workplace'
thinking, not 'school' thinking. It is designed to let you experience:
- applying for and being selected for the
project,
- taking responsibility for getting
the skills required,
- consulting with supervisors and clients,
- the opportunity to learn and practise the
avec skills,
- being paid for your work.
The selection process follows these steps:
- read the Information for ICT Professionals
- register your interest, including
a vision statement - Registration
- you will be sent a message directing
you to a series of tests to determine your suitability for this
type of work. The tests are as follows:
If you are selected for this project:
- when you have been notified of your test
results,
you will be asked to sign a 'memorandum of understanding' that
confirms your involvement, details the payment and on-time bonus
arrangement, and enables Plasform to include the completed tests on their Website.
(We need to have your permission to do this)
- you will be sent your client's contact
details and the worksheet/s they want prepared for online delivery
- follow the instructions to prepare
the worksheets
- become familiar with the use of the formbuilding
program - Demonstration
Version
- make the worksheet using the formbuilding
program
- save the worksheet by following the instructions
on the first page of the demo version
- check the online test by answering the
questions using the original (client's) answer sheet
- if you don't get 100%, follow the instructions
- Troubleshooting
- send a copy of the worksheet (a 'html'
document at this stage) to me
- when you have my reply (with the URL),
notify your client that it is available for them to check
- make any changes your client requests
- negotiate a time to demonstrate the process
you have used to your client
- notify me that this process has taken place
in order to be paid.
